Brussels Fashion Days 2016
October, 17th.
Just back from my second home, Brussels, where I spent the weekend. This weekend was all about fashion. I made some shopping, discovered new shops and attended the Brussels Fashion Days 2016. I've been to this event two years ago already (BFD2014).
It's time to go, Brussels here I come! With my new Daniel Wellington Classic Black.
Massimo Dutti coat, cozy & Other Stories pullover, Zara skirt and knee boots - ready for 3 hours of train...
Arrived. Can't walk through a city without taking pictures of it...
First thing when I arrive in Brussels - I go to Jat' to drink coffee or chai and eat the best cupakes in the world..
Picture from my Instagram.
Then I go to & Other Stories to buy new leather shoes..
Friday night, getting ready before meeting up with with my blogger friend Yolisa to attend the Brussels Fashion Days, this year held at the Square.
My outfit of the night, Zara dress, loafers + fishnet socks.
Arrived, we started with a gin tonic and discovered the pop-up show room where newcomer designers exhibited their work. We discovered amazing jewellery created by these local artists!
Thumbs up for the cute animal and plant pins from En Avril! Then, we got our nails done by the very talented Cam & Léone - picture of my result, at the end of the article!
Then the fashion show began! Starting with designer Toos Franken.
Modern, oversized Winter designs - I like it! A few designers showed their work. I picked out my styles!
And then this happened. Brunel Mintona was the last designer on the list.
I'm honest with you, I was surprised, a little bit.. :)
The audience had fun, that's what matters!
Then, I said to myself that I had enough pictures!
Outside I met Ibrahim, my favourite model of the evening!
I'm glad he posed for me. Love your style!
The day after. I went towards my favourite shopping street, Dansaert. Here you can find small cool boutiques like American Vintage, Karl Marc John, Essentiel Antwerp, Kure, Bash, Princesse Tam Tam, etc. The fashion event continued until Sunday but I needed to go back to Luxembourg soon. So unfortunately, I couldn't attend the Zalando fashion show.. Next time!
The interiors of these small boutiques are pretty, clean, never overcrowded - perfect for me. American Vintage has the cutest and warmest knitwear, I know the shop by heart.
Essentiel Antwerp sells more crazy clothes and accessories, for him and for her and Kure goes in a more minimalistic, rock'n'roll direction mostly in black and white.
On the same street, you'll find Replay, Zadig & Voltaire, Maje.. Look at this changing room at Replay, crazy isn't it?
I went back to Luxembourg with new clothes, shoes, nails, inspiration, and cool memories! Do you know any other cute shops in Brussels? And what do you think of the show I documented? Let me know.. :)
See you soon Brussels! Next stop - Antwerpen!
